This is your favorite chica Jessamine bringing some Kbeauty makeup trends.
When getting into Kpop and Kbeauty I noticed that there are not many people that look like me. I loved the makeup done on the idols and wanted to try some looks. When looking at their products like the BB creams and cushion foundations before they became internationally popular, and other Western makeup companies began making them for all shades I noticed that with most Korean makeup companies Biege was their darkest colors. Sometimes companies would only carry one shade that was for people with a very fair skin tone.
I became discouraged as I chocolate bunny as I call myself. I was like maybe these looks are not for people of color and I became super irritated. Then bam, like a message from GOD I came across people on youtube who looked like me and were rocking many Korean makeup trends. So recently after talking to mi amiga I began thinking maybe there are some people who look just like me and feel the same way. So with that being said I decided to share some makeup tutorials of people of color rocking Korean makeup trends.
This video gave me life not only does it feature a quick tutorial it has pictures of girls of color who rock this Ulzzang look and they come in all beautiful shades. These chicas are slaying honey!
This chica uses drug store products to achieve this Korean makeup look. I enjoyed the tutorial and the notion that you can achieve this look on a budget.
This was this her first time doing a Korean look. She did well in my opinion. She's known for doing Western makeup styles but she slayed this look. It proves that you can only fail at something if you don't try!
If you are into Kpop and Korean culture you know this beauty right here. She shows you how to do a more natural look. She uses a mixture of Korean and Western products.
Jai is super funny. Warning he may cuss on here but he's does an awesome Korean makeup look.
This is me being silly and attempting to try a makeup look inspired by Korean makeup trends. These pictures include me with and without a filter and photoshop. I did not use any Korean products since I don't have any direct access to any and not many products that I have came across suites my skin tone.
