KIMCHI!

Hey guys! I was looking online for some kimchi recipe's and I ran across this interesting article about food. It immediately caught my eye because, let's be honest, who doesn't love food? Enjoy!

WHAT IS KIMCHI?

For those of you who don't know what kimchi is, it is a Korean fermented dish made with garlic, salt, vinegar, chile peppers, and other spices. Kimchi is traditionally served with every meal, either alone or mixed with rice or noodles. It is also part of a high-fiber, low-fat diet that has kept obesity at bay in Korean. Kimchi is also used in everything like soups, pancakes, pizza, and burgers.

WHY YOU SHOULD TRY IT

Not only is kimchi loaded with vitamins A,B, and C, but it's biggest benefit is in its "healthy bacteria" called lactobacilli, found in fermented food like kimchi, yogurt, etc. This bacteria helps with digestion, and it seems to help stop and, according to recent study, even prevent yeast infections. In addition, some studies show that fermented cabbage has compounds that may help prevent the growth of cancer.

KIMCHI: Did you know that there are about 250 different kinds of kimchi? As many of you know, kimchi is like air. It is a MUST for Korean meals. The most popular kinds of kimchi is Baeju kimchi 배추김치(cabbage), Kkagdugi 깍두기 (diced radish), Oi Sobag-i 오이소박이 (cucumber), and Dongji Mi 동치미 (water-based).
